I'm really sorry that I have not been writing these past few days! Never mind that because I have a treat for you and ddon't worry, it's a real treat. I'm going to write about whippets today! They are super delicious and you will love them unless you don't like chocolate. Then you'll hate it. Sorry to those chocolate haters! Whippets are wonderful Quebec desserts that you'll be learning how to make. Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS
(Makes one)

2. Cover the marshellow with the chocolate frosting.
Schokokuss2.jpg3. Place it on your biscuit.
4. Cover the rest of it (ALL AROUND including the biscuit!) with chocolate.
5. MANGER! For those who don't speak French, eat! I swear, it will taste amazing!
This is a quick, easy recipe for those times you're in a rush and you're probably having guests over. Just make some whipets! They're easy and will blow you off you're feet! Be prepared to make at least 20!
OTHER INFORMATION
Whippets were originally created in 1901 but were sold in Quebec from 1927. The comapny in Quebec where whippets are sold is called Dare Foods. Whippets are made all over the world now and they are all called different things for example in Scottland they call it Tunnock's Tea Cakes but really, they're the same thing.

Quebec Cuisine: Tire Sur La Neige

This is my first Quebec Cuisine post and I'm writing about the tasty dessert, Tire Sur La Neige. This is one of Quebec's many famous maple syrup desserts that Quebec is known for.  This is a very, very simple recipe and it should be easy for you to follow along. The recipe is a bit strange but trust me, it will be delicious. Here come the ingredients!
INGREDIENTS
1. Snow (This was the strange part!)
2. Maple Syrup
3. Butter
OTHER MATERIALS
1. Sticks
2. Pan
3. Tray
Let's start with that recipe:
1. Put the snow in your tray. It can be from outside but it should be clean with no mud, slush or dog dung. Freeze it.
2. Place your maple syrup in the pan and boil it to 130 degrees Celsius for seven minutes. While boiling, add your block of butter.
3. Take your snow out and place your sticks in it. Pour your maple syrup in lines on top of your sticks. Wait 5 or 6 minutes to turn the sticks and collect the maple syrup on to them. Now eat your taffy!
OTHER INFORMATION
Did you know, Tire Sur La Neige is not only eaten in Quebec but all of Northern Ontario? It is not only called Tire Sur La Neige but Tire D'erable as well! Tire Sur La Neige or Tire D'erable was first created in 1915. It is a very popular treat in Quebec and villages like Mont Tremblant (To see my post on that cute little village CLICK HERE).

So that's all about Tire Sur La Neige for now. It's a tasty treat as I said before that you should make. It is supposed to be served cold which would be nice in the summer but unfortunately, we don't have snow in the summer. So try it out and see how it goes! I've tried it myself using pancake syrup but it still tastes nice and sweet. Be sure to read my next post on poutine! COMING SOON!!

Quebec Cuisine

Geometry Dash

Today I'm going to tell you about a crazy popular mobile device game called Geometry Dash.
I'm going to guess you've seen someone else play it before or you've tried it at least once. Why is this game so famous and fun? Read on to find the answers to your questions.

Geometry Dash has no geometry whatsoever. Isn't that just strange? It is made with squares and triangles but that's probably it. See? No math! That may be one reason why so many people like this game. Now I'm going to tell you the objective of this game and how it works. You have your little square character that moves across the screen. If you have played Temple Run it is a bit like that. Then, little triangular obstacles appear and the square needs to jump over by tapping the screen. If you want to repeatedly jump, you tap and hold. It sounds easy but it really isn't. Now we come to our  second reason why people love this game so much: It is challenging! When there is something challenging but fun that you want to win, you play it more and it gets addicting! It gets so addicting that your younger sibling hogs your iPad all day! How annoying is that? You will want to complete each and every level. While playing this cool game, they have background music. Here comes our third reason this game is nice: The tunes are extremely catchy. You will soon find yourself using the music as your ring tone!

So I've now shown you three reasons why this game is popular in a good and bad way. It's your choice whether you want to play it or not so have fun!
P. S. If you want to see some examples of this game on YouTube you can see some links right here:

Puffy Paint

Are you looking for a fast, simple craft that will blow someone's mind? Read on to find out what exactly to do!

This craft is making your very own puffy paint! You make it, use it and wait for it to dry. When it does, it isn't dry. It has a soft, cushy texture that feels really cool. Follow my simple steps to create this craziness.

You Will Need:
- Paper
- Shaving cream
- White Glue
- Bowl
- Something to mix with

Step 1: Take the shaving cream and white glue and put it in a bowl. Mix well.
Step 2: Apply the mixture wherever you want (Not including walls unless you want them to be fluffy!).
Step 3: Let it dry for 20 minutes.
Step 4: Feel the extreme softness! The fluffiness! Also, it smells really good! Enjoy the paint and press your hand on it. It will always be fluffy. Don't poke the little cloud, though. The glue will explode!

Remembrance Day

Johnstone said the Legion puts $15,000 into 15 bursaries of $1,000 ...I forgot to write about Thanksgiving and Halloween so just in case I forget Remembrance Day, I'll do it early. Have you ever wondered why we celebrate Remembrance Day? Do you know what this holiday even is? Read right on to find out everything about Remembrance Day!

Doves DovesFirst of all, you should know that Remembrance Day is a solemn holiday. It isn't a happy day like Christmas where you deck the halls with boughs of holly. On Remembrance Day, we take the time to remember all the soldiers who fought in the war for us and gave us the freedom and peace we have today. Some died and that is why it is so sad and quiet. To remember them, we usually have a moment of silence. This is when everyone simply stops what they are doing and takes the moment of silence to remember the brave soldiers. Something else we do is wear a poppy which is a red flower with a black center. You may have wreaths with poppies on your door. The Dove symbolizes peace and usually we use them for decorations as well. Something Canada also does on Remembrance Day is we have parades. These are all things we do to celebrate Remembrance Day.

REMEMBRANCE DAY IS COMING UP ON NOVEMBER 11TH 2014! PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO REMEMBER THE COURAGEOUS SOLDIERS THAT DIED FOR US!

Fruit Flies

Have you seen little, tiny flies flying over a bowl of fruit? Have you now noticed that they have become twice that size? You may usually just smack it with your hand but now they live twice as long. Get ready to solve the mystery of the fruit flies.

We eat fruit. Lot's of it. Now, all the fruit that we eat has been filled with hormones. That's why the fruits we eat are so big. Hormones are unhealthy for us. All that fruit that we may leave out in a bowl. Then, the fruit flies come and they eat up that fruit that is filled with hormones. All the hormones go into the fruit fly and just like how hormones make fruit big and grow faster, it happens to who ever eats it. So all those fruit flies have hormones inside them and it makes them bigger, stronger and harder to kill.

How do we get rid of these huge fruit flies? They annoy us and eat all our fruit. You might have noticed the peel on your bananas is open slightly. That is a fruit flies work. Throw that banana away immediately. It is dangerous to eat because fruit flies carry germs. Follow these steps to get rid of your fruit flies.

THE FRUIT FLY TRAP
You will need:
- A bowl
- Honey
- plastic wrap
- A tooth pick or something to poke small holes with
Step One: Take you bowl and fill it with lots of honey.
Step Two: Grab your plastic wrap and place it over your bowl. Secure it tightly.
Step Three: Take your tooth pick and poke holes that a fruit fly can get through.
Step Four: Place your bowl on a table.
Step Five: Watch the flies go inside your bowl because of the sweet smell of honey. They will go near it and get stuck because it's sticky! If they don't get stuck in it, they won't be able to get out anyway because of your plastic wrap!

Physical Activity

Physical activity or exercise is very important for our bodies. Average children need at least 60 minutes of DPA ever single day! Why do we need so much exercise? It makes us sweaty and tired but it's worth it.

First of all, when you exercise, you have a better chance of living longer. When you don't stay active you can get awful diseases like heart disease. Sure, you smell bad after running or dancing but it still is fun. Not only that, DPA makes you feel better about yourself. Either you lost weight or maybe it just relieved some stress. Do you want to start off to a great day? Do some exercise the day before! It can help you sleep better. There's still more! Physical activity can make your bones stronger and give you big muscles. See how much DPA can do for our lives?

For those who don't know what DPA is, it stands for Daily Physical Activity. In school, students have DPA all the time. So what can you do for your DPA? Here are some ideas:
- Running: Great way to burn calories. You can have fun when you run around by playing running games like tag.
- Skating: This makes your muscles really strong and it's lot's of fun once you get the hang of it. Also, it looks really cool.
- Yoga: This is meant to get rid of stress. Simple poses that can make your body flexible. You can have a lot of fun trying to twist yourself in all the different poses.
-Biking: Two wheels are hard at first but once you learn how to ride it you never forget. This makes your whole body stronger and riding a bike is so much fun! You can ride anywhere and it's so peaceful with lot's of fast wind.
-Dance: Dance! Anyone can do it if they tried. Make up your own moves or search up "Just Dance". You can watch dance tutorials and so much more.

Here I have a list of links that you can use either for yoga, dance or more info:
